Kadra Alvaro is from Phoenix, AZ where the arid desert heat forged her into a young lady with a love for art. She came to Los Angeles to earn a degree in Computer Engineering & Computer Science from the University of Southern California, but after working in the security industry for several years she realized that a life of catching organized cyber criminals lacked a certain something. After deciding to turn to her long-beloved dream of becoming a video game artist, she attended the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA and became a concept artist.
Kadra has since worked at both AAA and independent game studios, where she's been able to combine her experience in art and software development while working on multiple parts of various game development pipelines. In addition to concept art, she has experience modeling & sculpting in 3D (Autodesk Maya, Modo, DAZ Studio, Marvelous Designer) and game development, programming, and testing (Unity, C#/C++/Python/Java).
She now lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She loves tea, cats, and traveling in order to gather artistic reference.
